everyone, regardless of age, ability or previous playing experience.

Women’s Social Softball Cricket is a fun, informal and inclusive version of the game, designed
specifically for women and girls who would like to try cricket in a relaxed, friendly and supportive environment.

Played with a soft ball and simplified rules, the game retains all the enjoyment of batting, bowling and fielding without the need for specialist equipment or previous cricketing experience.

Whether you have never picked up a cricket bat, played at school many years ago or simply want to try something new, Women’s Social Softball Cricket offers a fantastic opportunity to get active, meet new people, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.

Exploring Women’s Social Softball Cricket in Guernsey
Guernsey Cricket is currently exploring opportunities to introduce a Women’s Social Softball Cricket programme as part of our expanding Social & Community Cricket initiatives.

Our ambition is to create relaxed and enjoyable sessions, potentially including informal training
evenings, friendly matches and social cricket festivals, where the emphasis is firmly on participation, friendship and fun rather than competitive performance.

We would particularly welcome women who are completely new to cricket, those returning to the sport after a break and groups of friends or work colleagues who would enjoy trying something different together.

The programme could also provide an introduction to Guernsey Cricket’s wider women’s cricket
activities for anyone wishing to become more involved.

Expressions of Interest Welcome
We would love to hear from individuals, groups of friends, businesses and community organisations who might be interested in participating, helping to organise sessions or supporting the initiative.

At this stage, we are assessing interest and considering suitable formats, venues and times before developing more detailed plans.
