The Guernsey Mavericks are about bringing people together through cricket, celebrating the traditions of the game and creating opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy representing their island.

As Club Captain, I am particularly excited about building a strong sense of identity and camaraderie across the Mavericks teams, combining competitive cricket with the sportsmanship, friendships and social traditions that make the game so special.

Having Leonard Curtis on board as our principal sponsor is fantastic. Their enthusiasm for the heritage and values of cricket makes them an ideal partner, and their support will help us establish the Mavericks as an important and lasting part of Guernsey’s cricketing community.

We are looking forward to building something that players are proud to be part of both on and off the field.

Club Captain
Guernsey Mavericks

Leonard Curtis is delighted to be supporting the Guernsey Mavericks as they embark on an exciting new chapter in island cricket.

Cricket is a sport in which Leonard Curtis takes a keen interest, with several former professional cricketers holding senior positions within the business. This passion for the game has also led to the publication of our annual Cricket Finance Report, reflecting our wider commitment to understanding and supporting the sport.

What particularly appealed to us about the Mavericks was the opportunity to help revive some of cricket’s finest traditions, combining the heritage, sportsmanship and camaraderie of the game with a fresh and inclusive approach.

The Mavericks will provide opportunities for players of different ages and abilities to enjoy competitive cricket and build lasting friendships, while celebrating the history and unique character of island cricket.

We are proud to be associated with a project that respects the past, embraces the present and helps create a lasting legacy for future generations of Guernsey cricketers.
