These are exciting times for the Guernsey Senior Men’s National Team, with Guernsey continuing to establish itself as a competitive force within European international cricket.

The team enjoyed an outstanding ICC Men’s T20 World Cup qualifying campaign in Cyprus in 2026, winning all four group matches against Sweden, Malta, Austria and Slovenia to finish with a 100% record. Guernsey then pushed Channel Islands rivals Jersey hard in the final before narrowly losing by four wickets.

Following a subsequent review of the European qualification pathway by the ICC, Guernsey will now progress to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier in 2027, continuing the island’s journey towards the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2028 in Australia and New Zealand.

The 2027 tournament will provide another major opportunity for Guernsey to compete against leading European Associate nations and build upon the considerable progress made by the squad.

Alongside international competition, Guernsey Cricket remains committed to strengthening its high-performance programme and creating a clear pathway from junior and age-group cricket through to Senior Men’s international representation.

With an important year of international cricket ahead, the Senior Men enter 2027 with genuine ambition and an exciting opportunity to continue progressing on the European stage.
