At Guernsey Cricket, we are always looking for new and exciting ways to bring people together
through cricket, making the game accessible, enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.

Beach Cricket is a fun, informal and adapted version of the traditional game, played on the sand with simplified rules and an emphasis on enjoyment, teamwork and participation.

Suitable for men, women and children of all ages and abilities, Beach Cricket offers a fantastic
opportunity to enjoy the game in a relaxed, social environment, with no previous cricketing
experience necessary.

With Guernsey’s beautiful beaches providing the perfect setting, we believe Beach Cricket has the potential to become an exciting addition to the Island’s sporting and social calendar.

Exploring a Guernsey Beach Cricket Competition
Guernsey Cricket is currently exploring the possibility of introducing a Beach Cricket competition, potentially featuring corporate teams, community groups, families and friends.
Our vision is to create a fun, festival-style event bringing together businesses and the wider
community, with mixed teams of men, women and children competing in short, entertaining
matches.

The emphasis would be firmly on participation, enjoyment and community spirit rather than serious competition, providing an opportunity for businesses to enjoy team-building activities, families to participate together and newcomers to experience cricket in a welcoming environment.

Expressions of Interest Welcome
We would love to hear from companies, community organisations, groups of friends, families and individuals who might be interested in entering a team, participating, volunteering or supporting the event through sponsorship.

At this stage, we are assessing the level of interest and considering possible formats and locations before developing more detailed plans.
