Chief Operating Officer

Richard is an experienced leader in both business and sports and is responsible for operational management of Guernsey Cricket, overseeing domestic and representative cricket, driving strategic growth, and strengthening the sports commercial and community engagement.

Originally from Southampton, Richard played age group cricket for local representative sides and also represented Hampshire Schools and West of England Schools at under 19 level, before going on to represent Exeter University.

Richard had a successful club career playing for sides in the Southampton and Winchester area before moving to Guernsey in 1992, where he enjoyed success as captain of one of the leading local clubs before becoming captain of the senior men’s Guernsey side and featuring in 8 inter insulars.

Richard has, until recently, been part of the Guernsey men’s under 19 coaching set up and continues to be a member of the Channel Islands over 50s squad.

Director of Cricket

Jeremy is responsible for overseeing the pathway from junior domestic cricket in to the senior representative teams, whilst also being National Coach to the senior men’s team. 

 

Originally from Romsey he grew up playing county age group cricket for Hampshire and NAYC (England) U19’s, going on to represent his home county in 2nd XI cricket and later Gloucestershire. Having moved to Guernsey he became part of a number of successful Guernsey teams at Inter Insular and International level. 

 

Jeremy has been coaching cricket since the age of 16 and involved in the development of cricket in Guernsey since moving to the Island in 2001. He ran the Dummer Cricket Centre for three years, coached district and county age groups and has experience of coaching cricket across a wide range of both state and private schools in the UK and overseas. He is also an ECB coach developer. 

 

In his full time work he is a director at the Guernsey Sports Commission and an Education Development Officer with the States of Guernsey.

Player Development
Manager & 
Pathway Lead

Following on from 4 years in post as Cricket Development Manager Ben is now responsible for Under 11 - 19 representative programme, The Emerging Players programme and also Head Coach of the Womens National Team.

Ben is a ECB Level 3 coach and has a degree in Sports Development, Coaching and Applied Sports Exercise Studies. Ben is also 1 of 2 ECB Tutors and responsible for the delivery of Coach Education within Guernsey.

Ben has an extensive background in Guernsey Cricket having been a member of the Guernsey National Team since 2005 until present playing over 95 ICC games and becoming the most capped player in Guernsey International Cricket.

Cricket Development Officer

As a 20 year who has been involved in Guernsey cricket for some time now, Blake has a deep passion for the game and a keen understanding of the intricacies of high-level sport. From participating in the U19 Cricket World Cup to playing basketball in the island games, Blake brings both presence and knowledge to the field, guiding players to develop their skills and strategies to not only develop as a player but as a participant.

Blake is an ECB Level 2 coach and is looking to gain further qualifications to aid the development of Guernsey cricket.

The Guernsey Cricket Board is a Limited by Guarantee (LBG) Company and is registered accordingly in Guernsey (Company No. 44609).


The Guernsey Cricket Board is a Registered Charity (CH299) as required by The Charities and Non Profit Organisations (Guernsey) Law, 2008.

The Guernsey Cricket Board is registered with the Association of Guernsey Charities (405).
